At Taxi Trip Zanzibar, we aim to make your airport transfers and island rides simple, transparent, and stress-free. This Booking Policy explains how our service works and ensures clarity for every customer. It complies with Tanzanian consumer laws and international best practices for transportation services.

1. How to Book

You can book in the following ways:

Please provide the following information when booking:

  • Full name
  • Phone number and email
  • Pickup location & drop-off destination
  • Date and preferred time
  • Flight details (for airport transfers)
  • Number of passengers and luggage count

2. Booking Confirmation

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by our team.
  • You will receive a confirmation via email or WhatsApp within a few hours (we provide 24/7 support).
  • Your booking is only confirmed once you receive an official confirmation with your booking reference.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are per vehicle, not per person (as displayed on our Routes page).
  • Prices are fixed at the time of booking — no hidden fees.
  • Payment Options:
    • Mobile Money (M-Pesa, Yas, etc.)
    • Credit/Debit Cards (via secure gateway)
    • Cash (USD, EUR, or TZS) — payable to the driver

A deposit or full payment may be required depending on the booking type. Full payment is usually collected upon completion of the trip unless otherwise agreed.

4. What is Included

  • Private transfer (vehicle for your exclusive use)
  • Professional, English-speaking driver
  • Fuel and tolls (where applicable)
  • Waiting time (up to 60 minutes for airport pickups; up to 15 minutes for other locations)
  • Flight tracking for airport arrivals (we monitor your flight)
  • Air-conditioned vehicle suited to your group size

5. What is Not Included

  • Tips (appreciated but optional)
  • Child seats / booster seats (available on request, subject to availability)
  • Extra stops (may incur additional charges)
  • Parking fees (if applicable)
  • Personal travel insurance

6. Amendments / Changes to Booking

  • Minor changes (time, contact details) are free if made at least 24 hours before pickup.
  • Major changes (date, route, vehicle type) are subject to availability and may incur extra charges.
  • Please contact us as early as possible.

7. Special Requests

  • Child seats, baby boosters, or wheelchair-accessible vehicles: Request at the time of booking (subject to availability and possible extra fee).
  • Multiple stops or tours: Must be agreed in advance with a custom quote.
  • Late-night or early-morning transfers: Fully supported with no extra surcharge unless outside standard service.

8. Important Notes

  • For airport arrivals, we recommend providing accurate flight details. We monitor flights and adjust arrival time accordingly.
  • Please be ready at the agreed pickup time. Excessive waiting may incur additional charges.
  • We strongly recommend booking in advance, especially during peak season.
  • All our drivers are licensed and vehicles are insured for passenger transport.

9. Governing Law

All bookings are governed by the laws of Zanzibar, Tanzania. By making a booking, you agree to our full Cancellation & Refund Policy and these terms.
