Welcome to Taxi Trip Zanzibar. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and our airport transfer and taxi services in Zanzibar. By booking with us or using our website, you agree to these terms.

Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Our Services

Taxi Trip Zanzibar provides private airport transfers and point-to-point taxi services across Zanzibar Island. All services are operated by licensed drivers and vehicles.

2. Booking and Confirmation

  • Bookings can be made via our website, WhatsApp, phone, or email.
  • A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation message.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • All quoted prices are per vehicle, not per person.
  • Prices include fuel and standard waiting time.
  • Payment can be made by Mobile Money, Credit/Debit Card, or Cash (USD, EUR, TZS).
  • Full payment is usually due upon completion of the journey unless a deposit has been requested.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings remain at the agreed rate.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations and refunds are governed by our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully before booking.

5. Service Execution

  • Airport Pickups: We monitor flights and provide up to 60 minutes of free waiting time. Extra waiting time may be charged.
  • Other Pickups: Driver will wait up to 15 minutes. Late customers may be charged extra or the booking may be treated as a no-show.
  • Vehicles are air-conditioned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Drivers are professional, licensed, and speak English.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate pickup/drop-off details and flight information.
  • Be ready at the agreed time.
  • Not smoke, consume alcohol, or use drugs in the vehicle.
  • Respect the driver and vehicle (no littering or damage).
  • Ensure the number of passengers and luggage does not exceed the vehicle capacity.
  • Carry valid travel documents and comply with all local laws.

7. Luggage and Personal Belongings

  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to your personal belongings.
  • Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their luggage.
  • Extra luggage may incur additional charges or require a larger vehicle.

8. Liability

  • Taxi Trip Zanzibar is not liable for:
    • Delays caused by traffic, road conditions, weather, flight delays, or any events beyond our control.
    • Loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
    • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
  • Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to provide services due to force majeure events including (but not limited to) natural disasters, extreme weather, government actions, strikes, pandemics, or security issues.

10. Insurance

Our vehicles are insured for passenger transport as required by Tanzanian law. We recommend that customers obtain their own travel insurance.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy (available on our website). We do not sell your data to third parties.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania (Zanzibar).
  • Any disputes shall first be resolved amicably. If unresolved, they shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Zanzibar.
  • International customers may also seek assistance from their local consumer protection bodies where applicable.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated terms. The version applicable to your booking is the one in effect at the time of confirmation.

14. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply.
